For day 2 in Jaipur, we have planned a lot of interesting things for you. But first, it is important to keep your tummy full and start your day with a healthy breakfast at the hotel.
Your first destination of the day will be Hawa Mahal. The Hawa Mahal is also known as the “Palace of the Winds’ owing to the 953 jharokhas that it consists of. Apart from that, the 5 storey building showcases an amazing blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Built with red and pink sandstones the façade of the mahal depicts a honeycomb of the beehive. Now, that’s like an interesting place to be at, right?
After the Hawa Mahal, you will directly head towards the Amber Fort. The speciality of this fort is that it was declared a world heritage site by the UNESCO. The fort is located uphill, but if you do not feel like trekking then leave your transport to the elephants. The elephant ride to the fort apart from the illustrious architecture within the complex is a major plus point for the fort.
Next up for the day is the Jantar Mantar Observatory. A fun fact is that, India has five such astronomical observatories and the largest one is in Jaipur. Each of the structures is built to perform astronomical measurements. Now that’s the reason Jantar Mantar attracts tourists from all over the world.
To end your day, head back to your hotel and catch up on some rest.
