Day 1Arrival at Udaipur Airport
Upon your arrival at Udaipur airport, you will be escorted to your hotel by our representative. After you complete your check-in process, you can start with your city tour.
The first destination of your day will be the magnum opus City Palace. The City Palace of Udaipur provides an exotic view of the city and its surroundings. The palace has eleven enchanting palaces within its complex and these royal palaces will just treat your eyeballs with the views of beautiful paintings, attractive mirror work and ornamental tiles work.
Later on, you can head to Hathi Pol for some shopping. The place is an important market in Udaipur where you can find a huge variety of handicrafts and folk arts of Rajasthan.
You can then return to your hotel for the night stay and dinner.
Day 2Sightseeing in Udaipur
After having breakfast at the hotel, you can re-start your city tour.
Today you will begin your day by visiting the Kumbhalgarh Fort. The Fort is known for its famous palace that resides on the top of the structure. This beautiful palace is called the ‘Badal Mahal’ also known as the Palace of Clouds. In fact, the fort is also the birthplace of great warrior Maharana Pratap.
After the tour of the fort, you will visit the Sahelion Ki Bari garden. The rambling garden has abundant natural beauty, fountains and a museum, which will definitely grab your attention. The garden has beautiful lotus pools, marble pavilions and elephant-shaped fountains. It is said that the garden was designed by the king himself as a present to his queen.
Later on, you will head to the Fateh Sagar Lake. The lake is so huge that it comprises of three small islands and is surrounded by scenic views of the mighty Aravalli Mountains. You can also enjoy a boat ride across the lake.
End your day, by heading back to your hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 3Sightseeing in Udaipur
Enjoy a healthy breakfast at the hotel and then head out in the city for the sightseeing of the day.
Begin your tour with the amazing Monsoon Palace. The Monsoon Palace, formerly known as the Sajjangarh Palace, is a hilltop palatial residence in the city. It offers a panoramic view of the city’s lakes, palaces and surrounding countryside. Actually, it was built to watch the monsoon clouds; hence, appropriately, it is popularly known as Monsoon Palace.
Later on, you can head to the Vintage Car Museum. The museum is a treat for all automobile lovers. Inaugurated in the year 2000, it houses a number of vintage and antique cars. In fact, it is said that all these cars were once used by the member of the royal family and now are the pride of the museum.
Your last destination for the day is the Ambrai Ghats. These Ghats offer a lakeside view of the Pichola. At evening, a number of local musicians often come to the Ghats with their musical instruments, you can sit there and relax, while you listen to some soothing music and the cool breeze of Pichola Lake keeps you at peace.
Post this fun day in the city, you can go back to your hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 4Travel Udaipur to Jodhpur (250.6kms. / 4 hrs. 35 minutes)
Today you will be travelling to Jodhpur. So make sure you have an early breakfast and hit the road to cover the distance of 250.6 kms. It should take you around 4 hours 35 minutes to reach your destination.
After your check-in process at the hotel, you can leave for the city tour. You will begin your tour with the Mehrangarh Fort.
The fort is one of the most famous attractions of the city. Its architecture is one of the most impressive works it speaks volumes about the rich heritage and glorious past of India. It is one of the most visited places in Jodhpur with tourists rushing from all over the world.
You must take an entire tour of the fort and explore its beautiful interiors and then head back to your hotel to catch up on some rest.
Day 5Sightseeing in Jodhpur
You can begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel and then go out to visit the other attractions of the city. Today you will first visit the Umaid Bhavan Palace.
The youngest palace of India is truly an architectural beauty. The art décor of this place is something to look out for. It houses a museum that has a vast collection of vintage clocks and cars. The collection is really unique and the place is a definite must go.
Later on, you will head to the Jaswant Thada. The beauty of this attraction point is sometimes compared to that of the Taj Mahal. It is built like a temple, with beautiful domes and finely carved sculptures.
Your last destination in the city will be Kaylana Lake. Do not forget to take your cameras along at this lake. A picture of the beautiful sunset and the migratory Siberian Cranes is a must when you visit this humungous lake. You can sit beside the shore of the lake for some time and just enjoy the cool breeze and feel at peace.
You can then return to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.
Day 6Travel Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (284.1 kms. / 4 hours)
Be ready for yet another road trip, this time to Jaisalmer. The distance you need to cover is 284.1 kms and it should take you around 4 hours to reach your destination. So, make sure you have an early breakfast and hit the road to reach your next city.
On your arrival, complete your check-in process and change into comfortable clothes because today you are going to visit the Thar Desert for some adventure activities.
They say that if you are in Jaisalmer and you haven’t explored the desert activities; your tour is a waste. So, today we will begin our city tour with sports activities in the desert. There are a number of options to pick from; you can choose to try out Paragliding, Dune Bashing, Quad Biking, Camel Safari or even all of these.
You can then head towards your hotel for the night stay.
Day 7Sightseeing in Jaisalmer
After following your breakfast routine at the hotel you can start with start exploring the city. Your first destination of the day will be the Jaisalmer Fort.
Jaisalmer Fort is one of the world’s largest fully preserved forts. It was built back in 1156 AD and it derives its name from two words – Jaisal and Meru. Due to its yellow colour which glows like gold in the morning and evening, it’s also known as the Golden Fort or Sonar Quila.
After visiting the fort you can head towards the Jaisalmer Government Museum. The museum houses a great collection of wood and marine fossils and gives an insight into the geological past of the area.
The important attractions of the museum are paintings, sculptures, inscriptions, coins, embroidered dresses, handicrafts etc.
Lastly, you can make your way to Gadisar Lake. There are numerous shrines and small temples on the embankment of this lake. There is an also big domed pavilion in the center of the lake which is quite an attraction. Also, watch out for the different species of birds, which migrate from distinct places.
You can then head back to your hotel and start packing for your departure the next day.
Day 8Departure from Jaisalmer
