Anand Sagar Lake
A scenic artificial lake on the eastern part of Banswara, Anand Sagar Lake or the ‘Bai Talab’ is among the most popular tourist spot within the city limits. Constructed by Lachhi Bai, the queen of MaharawalJagmal, locals throng this lake to worship a nearby tree called the ‘KalpaVriksha’.
According to them, the tree has magical powers and fulfils the wishes of its devotees. Visitors to Anand Sagar Lake can also find some of the historic tombstones around and revisit the golden history of Banswara and Rajasthan as well.
