Pushkar Lake

The Pushkar Sarovar or the Pushkar Lake in Rajasthan is revered as one of the most pious lakes among the Hindus. According to the legends, this sacred lake was created after the petals of Lord Brahma’s weapon fell on the ground while He was killing a demon called Vajranabha. The lake is said to have spiritual and healing powers; devotees believe that taking a dip in the Pushkar Lake cleanse one’s soul and wipes all the sins.
