- Touch down in Jaislamer airport (JAI) and our tour manager will get a smooth transfer to your pre-booked hotel.
- From the airport till you reach your hotel, you will come across desert landscape and sandy stretches, reflecting a golden light. The moment you enter the city, the yellow sandstone building will start to appear.
- Jaisalmer was named after its founder Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD. The city is fondly called the Golden City due the use of yellow sandstone in its buildings and citadels.
- After reaching the hotel, check in and rest. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the markets and the local life of Jaisalmer.
- Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
- Welcome the new day in Jaisalmer and greet the morning sun. Relish a delicious breakfast and head to explore Jaisalmer. Our tour executive will be waiting for you outside the hotel.
- Start off your Jaisalmer outing with Jaisalmer Fort also called the Golden Fort and locally known as the Sonar Quila. It is one of the rare ‘Living Forts’ in the world as 1/4th of Jaisalmer’s population still lives here. You’d be surprised to see that this fort houses ancient havelis, stalls, and hotels. Jaisalmer Fort isn’t merely a tourist attraction, but like a small city in itself. The fort is marked by bastions and protective entrances. It is located on Trikuta Hill 250 ft. above the plain. The four massive gateways to enter the fort are: Ganesh Pol, Akshay Pol, Suraj Pol, and Hawa Pol.
- After Jaisalmer Fort exploration, it’s time to touch the sand of the majestic Thar Desert. A big part of Jaisalmer tourism is expediting activities like paragliding, quad-biking, camel ride or desert safari in Thar. You can also try camping in the desert, watch a gorgeous sunset and star-filled sky as the night descends.
