Instead of sandstone, the palace is built primarily using marble and granite. Its domes, pillars, towers, and walls display strikingly beautiful marble-work, mirror-work and colourful enamel. The reflection of Mughal, European and Rajasthani architecture is quite visible in its design and structure.
- You can further appreciate the colourful markets and do some shopping in Udaipur before returning to the hotel for overnight stay.
Start your day early with a healthy breakfast and get ready for a full day outing in Udaipur. First, we will visit one of the most prominent lakes in Udaipur: Fatesh Sagar Lake. This large waterbody.
- Fateh Sagar Lake is an artificial lake that was named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur. Many tourists flock to this place in hopes of boating and getting remarkable views of the city. It is surrounded by beautiful hills and walkways where you can click photos and enjoy a coffee at a lakeside cafe.
- After boating in the lake, the next attraction is Manshapurn Karni Mata Ropeway. It’s a cable car ride that is approximately 387 meters long. It starts from Deen Dayal Upadjaya Park and takes you to the temple of Karni Mata located at Machhala Hill Top.
